0.00 h. Esplanade
From the square starts a dirt road east that soon takes a turn of 90 degrees and takes due south into the forest. We passed an irrigation pond on our left on a higher plane. The track takes us to the edge of the beech, but do not enter him, we follow the wide track that seems to skirt around it, leaving it to our right and farmland to our left (8 ').
save unevenness hardly walk up to a new irrigation pond. The track now enters the beech forest and five minutes later we have the first bifurcation. Follow the track on the left. Six minutes later it appears another fork, here are also going to take the ramp on the left. The minute you stop this bifurcation appears another.

Here we find that the track down the left and the right amounts. It takes the right track. We will see some stone markers indicating the diversion and an old wooden cross supported a few meters ahead on the left side of the track. Here the slope of the track is taking more inclined ...... is what is coming up.

Here is a new fork, but in this case does not matter go to the left than the right, the final two tracks are reunited near the shrine. But better walking path that track so we left it and take the path.
a few meters to take the left going to happen next to the fountain called La Herradura. Four minutes after joining the track and continue rising until the base of the Hermitage of San Bitor. A few meters before reaching the shrine have a clue out to our left and brings us to another source, this double-barreled, named Fountain
Mandio, cleaned up the Tripper Manuel Iradier in April 1953 ...... "Almost nothing".

Panoramic Itxogana
The top is an open view on The Plain and the large number of people, if the day is clear, of course. To better show the panoramic view offered by this top is attached photos of a summer day in 2004.
Northbound Elgea saws, Urkilla, Altzania Aizkorri and close the horizon in a north-northeast. Baio and San Donato / Beriain, in Navarre, complete this direction. To the east are seen Santa Elena, Bitigarra Iturrieta and, in the southeast, Indiagana, Sierra de Kodes, Joar and Costalera.
Moreover, south-southwest lies the Sierra de Toloño, Sierra de la Demanda with Mount San Lorenzo and the nearby Kapildui. In the western line are appreciated Montes de Gasteiz, Gasteiz and the distant Sierra de Arzeno. Northwest Gorbeia see the Massif,
The Plain and the vertical of the summit, the church of San Bitor. In short, a vast landscape that offers this beautiful top.
De Itxogana go back down the same road to the intersection of San Bitor. We leave it to our right and we few meters from front to find a deviation not clear on the left. Soon the road becomes a wide dirt track that leaves us on a small hill crossed by another track.

1.15 h. Crest
It is a left and go up as we distinguish the forest area of \u200b\u200bthe summit. To the east and not very precise paths can reach the beech forest that hides the hidden summit.
From the ridge we can see the mountains of the Sierra and the nearby Toloño Almurrain.
For reference
say that before we reach the top through a fence by a step enabled and around the top a few dozen yards from the mailbox Indiagana.
From the grassy ridge to the summit is about 10 minutes.

1.25 h. Fence / Cima
The summit almost covered by beech. It is an old landmark and a mailbox in the shape of the Brussels Atomium, affixed by the OHR Gasteiz Excelsior Club on 3 April 1960. As discussed above the top of Indiagana prevents a good view because it is covered with beech forest.
For finishing this journey we walked back the way back from the small hill that separates the top of Itxogana. Reached the same turn right. The track starts to descend and five minutes one step wound wire.

2.20 h. Substation 'Rotalde' Ullibarri
And now the building that housed the Rotalde Transformation Substation. Substation feeding the line of work and was connected to the three-phase three-wire line of 30,000 volts. This energy generally came from Artavia Leaping over the river Urederra.
concludes this journey that we have used two different points as the beginning and end but can be done perfectly circular, so just add the walk is the walk between the villages of Ullibarri and Via Verde Gauna of what once was the Basque Railway Navarro.
